A scary moment occurred during the Wednesday night match up between the Edmon Oilers and the Columbus Blue Jackets. Despite the fact that both teams have very little play for at this point in the season the game was a physical one. During the second period Columbus' Rene Bourque put a hit on Edmonton's Boyd Gordon that sent him crashing into the boards head first. It was a terrifying moment for those who saw it live, and the replay only made it worse clearing showing the Gordon's head as the point of impact. Luckily he was able to get up under his own power and appeared to be alright. Bourque was called for interference on the play, which seems like an odd call, if anything it should have been a boarding penalty.
