One woman showed true grit last night, as she refused to miss her first ever hockey game even though she was suffering from a head wound! The glass was knocked out during the first period when Edmonton's Benoit Pouliot checked Chicago's Niklas Hjalmarsson into the boards. The glass gets dislodged and strikes the Blackhawks fan right in the head. The woman was a trooper about it though, as she refused medical attention. She simply wrapped a cloth around her head as a bandage and chose to stay and watch the rest of what the TV announcer said was her first hockey game. TV play-by-play announcer Pat Foley said the woman was her 20s and needed stitches but planned to get them after the game. Even the fans are made tough!
