Let's face it, this team does Steve Mason zero favours. The club's performance in the 2-1 defeat against the Dallas Stars can in no way be attributed to Mason's play, as he was once again stellar. Mason stopped 37 of 39 shots, while his teammates mustered only 26 and failed to score after defenseman Luke Schenn's goal less than two minutes into the game. The Stars also out-shot the Flyers 30-12 in the final two periods at home no less. Mason made a concerted effort not to call out his teammates, but his frustration was extremely evident. It was the third consecutive loss for the Flyers, who are now nine points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference after dropping a pair of games over the weekend. Good on you Mason, you're the man. [iframe id=""]
